No way is that picture true. Perhaps its what the kids took even though he was offered more. I welcome anyone to visit my schools or ANY of the districts around me. You will find portions that EXCEED the required size. We are serving dinner sized portions, not lunch sized. If anything we are serving TOO much food. When our seniors graduate they tell how sad they are leaving our wonderful food cause they sure don't get this good of food at home.

Is this web site run by FOX news? Cause it seems to be slanted to one side and full of biased reporting.

Provide some actual evidence to support your claim, or don't make it. It's that simple. Neither you, nor this website, has provided a single shred of evidence to demonstrate that this is all that's available for the kids to eat.

I am a Director For a small country school food service program. In no way would this or any of these meals be offered to my students. We are federally regulated, and must provide balanced nutrition. These pictures are absolutely not the normal meals served in schools, if so, shame on them.

Oh no, we can’t possibly be putting such horrible and meager meals in front of kids in public schools, can we? Of course not. Its all a lie. We’re better than that. We’re not really producing a generation of under-nourished idiots.

Keep telling yourself that.

Perhaps you and yours are doing better, if you’re fortunate enough to be among the dwindling middle and upper middle class.

For those who are not, this is what is being handed to children and being called “a meal” in much of America today.

But of course, we’re still the greatest country on earth, right?

Right.

Wake up and smell the class warfare.

Yeah, I’m pretty skeptical too… It would be outright illegal if this was all that was offered. Is this blog attempting to honestly depict the actual lunch options, or just pushing an agenda with no regard for the truth?

Is this and the other lunches real? Are submitters choosing not to take items, or eating some before taking a picture? I’m just finding it all hard to believe (not having been to an american school lunch room, yet a lone america at all) if so… DANG!
